These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the BedHalo iOS app.
By downloading, accessing, or using BedHalo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What BedHalo Does
BedHalo is a sleep tracking and wellness app.
The app may provide features such as:
- sleep session tracking;
- sleep score and sleep battery summaries;
- sound-event detection;
- optional short event audio clips;
- sleep history;
- sleep insights;
- local bedtime reminders;
- iOS widget summaries;
- Pro features available through subscription.
BedHalo is designed to help users understand their sleep environment. It is not a medical app.
2. No Medical Advice
BedHalo is provided for general wellness and informational purposes only.
BedHalo does not provide medical advice.
BedHalo does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease, disorder, or medical condition.
Sleep scores, event detection, sound classification, audio clips, and insights may be incomplete, inaccurate, or affected by device placement, background noise, microphone access, iOS behavior, battery state, or other conditions.
You should not use BedHalo as a replacement for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
If you have health concerns, sleep problems, breathing issues, symptoms of sleep apnea, or any other medical concerns, contact a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Permissions
BedHalo needs microphone permission to run sleep tracking.
If microphone permission is denied, sleep tracking may not work or may be limited.
BedHalo may use iOS background audio capability so a sleep session can continue while the app is in the background.
If you enable bedtime reminders, BedHalo may request notification permission. Notifications are optional and can be managed in iOS Settings.
You are responsible for choosing which permissions you grant.
4. Local Data
BedHalo stores sleep data locally on your device in the current app version.
This may include sleep sessions, sleep events, app settings, widget summary data, and optional short event audio clips.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and local app data.
Deleting app data, deleting sessions, uninstalling the app, restoring your device, changing devices, or changing iOS backup settings may result in data loss.
BedHalo is not responsible for loss of local data caused by device loss, device damage, deletion, uninstalling the app, operating system behavior, storage cleanup, backup settings, or user action.
5. Audio Recording
BedHalo uses your microphone during active sleep tracking sessions.
In standard tracking mode, BedHalo may save short audio clips around detected sleep events.
In silent tracking mode, BedHalo is designed to save sleep statistics without saving event audio clips.
The quality and accuracy of audio detection may depend on the device model, microphone condition, device placement, room noise, distance from the sound source, iOS behavior, and other factors.
You are responsible for using audio recording features in a lawful and respectful way.
Do not use BedHalo to record people without any consent required by law in your country or region.
6. User Controls
BedHalo may provide controls to:
- start and stop sleep tracking;
- choose tracking mode;
- set audio clip retention;
- delete individual sessions;
- delete local app data;
- restore purchases;
- manage reminders.
Some controls may depend on app version, iOS version, and device capabilities.
7. BedHalo Pro and Subscriptions
Some BedHalo features may require BedHalo Pro.
BedHalo Pro is provided through Apple in-app purchases and managed with RevenueCat.
Subscription prices, billing periods, available plans, free trials, introductory offers, and renewal terms are shown in the app purchase screen and in Apple's purchase confirmation flow before you confirm a purchase.
If you buy an auto-renewable subscription, it renews automatically unless you cancel it through Apple before the renewal date.
Your Apple ID account may be charged according to Apple's App Store payment rules.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple subscription settings.
Deleting the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's App Store policies.
BedHalo does not collect or store your payment card details.
8. Restore Purchases
If you purchased BedHalo Pro through Apple in-app purchases, you may use the restore purchases feature in the app.
Restore purchases depends on Apple's in-app purchase system, RevenueCat, network availability, and the Apple ID used for the original purchase.
9. Third-Party Services
BedHalo uses RevenueCat to manage subscription offerings, purchase state, entitlement status, and purchase restoration.
BedHalo also relies on Apple's App Store and in-app purchase infrastructure for payment processing and subscription management.
Third-party services may be unavailable, delayed, or changed. If RevenueCat or Apple services are unavailable, Pro purchase, restore, or entitlement status features may not work until service is restored.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse BedHalo.
You must not:
- use BedHalo in a way that violates applicable law;
- use BedHalo to record others unlawfully;
- attempt to bypass subscription controls;
- interfere with BedHalo's operation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to app systems or purchase systems;
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit the app in a way not allowed by law or by Apple's terms;
- use BedHalo for medical emergencies or safety-critical decisions.
11. App Availability and Changes
BedHalo may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued.
Features may be added, removed, limited, or changed over time.
Some features may depend on iOS version, device model, permissions, battery state, storage availability, App Store availability, RevenueCat availability, or other technical conditions.
The app developer does not guarantee that BedHalo will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or iOS version.
12. Accuracy of Results
BedHalo sleep scores, event detection, audio clips, noise metrics, and insights are estimates.
They may be inaccurate or incomplete.
You are responsible for how you interpret and use the information shown in the app.
13. Intellectual Property
BedHalo, including its design, features, text, graphics, icons, software, and other app content, is owned by the app developer or licensed to the app developer.
You receive a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use BedHalo for personal, lawful use on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.
You do not receive ownership of the app or its intellectual property.
14. Apple Terms
Your use of BedHalo is also subject to Apple's applicable App Store, Apple Media Services, and licensed application terms.
If Apple's terms apply to your download, purchase, subscription, refund, cancellation, or use of the app, those terms also govern that part of your use.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, BedHalo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the app developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of device access, loss of profits, sleep-related decisions, health-related decisions, or damages arising from inability to use the app.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
16. No Warranty
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the app developer makes no warranties that BedHalo will:
- meet your expectations;
- detect every sleep event;
- produce accurate sleep analysis;
- run without interruption;
- be free from bugs;
- preserve all local data;
- work on every device, iOS version, or configuration.
17. Termination
You may stop using BedHalo at any time.
The app developer may suspend, limit, or discontinue access to features if necessary to protect the app, comply with law, prevent misuse, or maintain the service.
If you stop using BedHalo, subscription cancellation must still be handled through Apple subscription settings if you have an active subscription.
18. Privacy
Your use of BedHalo is also governed by the BedHalo Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how BedHalo handles sleep data, audio data, local storage, subscription-related processing, notifications, and deletion controls.
19. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when BedHalo changes, when subscription behavior changes, when legal requirements change, or when platform requirements change.
The latest version should be available through BedHalo's official App Store listing or another official app distribution channel.
Continued use of BedHalo after updated Terms are made available means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Contact
For support questions, subscription questions, privacy questions, or questions about these Terms, users can contact the BedHalo developer through the official BedHalo App Store support link: App Store support link.
