On-device processing
BedHalo uses your iPhone microphone during a session to detect overnight disturbances and sleep sounds. That audio processing happens on the device. A temporary local recording may be created to extract events and is intended to be removed after a session stops normally.
Local-first storage, no account
Sleep sessions, your Sleep Battery values, timeline metadata, settings, widget summaries, and optional clips are stored locally on your iPhone. You can use BedHalo without creating a visible account in the current product experience.
You stay in control
- Choose Standard mode (short clips) or Silent mode (statistics only).
- Set audio clip retention, with options such as 1, 3, 5, 7, 14, or 30 days.
- Delete individual sessions, or delete all local app data, from inside the app.
No ads, no data brokers
Per its policy, BedHalo does not sell your personal information and does not share sleep data with data brokers. The current app version does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. Subscription handling uses Apple’s in-app purchases with RevenueCat, which may process purchase and entitlement information when you buy or restore BedHalo Pro.
A note on scope
BedHalo is a wellness and self-tracking app, not a medical device, and relies on iOS app sandboxing for local data protection. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and backups.
